This rapturous success quickly led to appearances on the greatest stages in the world: Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Opéra de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, Arena di Verona, Teatro Real Madrid, San Francisco Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona and Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Press

A voice that knows no flaws, whatever the pressure, whatever the pitch. What a star!

The Times

Verdi turns the focus instead on Lady Macbeth, giving her the best music, spectacularly sung here by the Italian soprano Anna Pirozzi. She’s every inch the diva, in total command, vocally and dramatically. It’s a tremendous performance.

The Guardian

Anna Pirozzi was superb. She dominated the set with the ease and voluptuousness of her voice, the breadth of her outbursts, the warmth of her commitment.

Forum Opera

Anna Pirozzi sings Abigaille with a brilliance that impresses the audience throughout the opera thanks to the precision of a very powerful voice. It stands out easily in ensembles with dazzling highs, without losing the richness of its timbre, which remains impassive thanks to the agility of its many large jumps in intervals. The vocal implication up to and including in the treble piano, serves as much the dramaturgical implication and the incarnation.

Olyrix

Anna Pirozzi’s vividly intense Tosca – embodying the title role to perfection. With glints of steel in the voice, she was commanding in the high lying passages, yet able to refine her impressive instrument down to a whisper, allowing her to deliver a spellbinding account of ‘Vissi d’arte’.
