"Angela Brower not only sings Hoffmann's muse, she is her. With her soprano sun-bright, wonderfully musically intelligent mezzo, the muse is usually twice present: as a singer who accompanies her Hoffmann as a male friend Nicklausse, as a dancer who floats through the air as a personified muse."
“Angela Brower sang Octavian with plush, full sound, yet also youthful brightness and flashes of cocky energy.”
The New York Times

"Angela Brower, in more than a welcome return to her former theatre, brought her fulsome voice, her gorgeous tonal colour and her acting talent to the part of the Fox. The scenes between the Vixen and the Fox were touching, enthralling, charming and sexy all at once."
“Angela Brower has a beautiful mezzo-soprano that is effortlessly responsive both in height and depth. She managed everything with ease and she was able to bring out the beauty of Bellini's wonderful melodies in all their beauty. “
