We are very excited to announce the signing of the extraordinary Lithuanian soprano Vida Miknevičiūtė, one of the leading lyric dramatic sopranos of our time. With a repertoire spanning both opera and concert settings, she has performed with prestigious orchestras and opera companies such as Bayreuther Festspiele, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, Staatsoper unter den Linden, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper and Berliner Philharmoniker, earning admiration for her powerful stage presence and emotive interpretations.
Engagements in the 2024/25 season include Die tote Stadt at the Dvořák Festival in Prague, Bayerische Staatsoper and in Dmitri Tcherniakov’s new production at Opernhaus Zürich; Salome at the Wiener Staatsoper, Finnish National Opera and Staatsoper Hamburg; Chrysothemis Elektra at Staatsoper unter den Linden; Senta Der fliegende Holländer in Wiesbaden; and Hanna Glawari Die lustige Witwe at Opernhaus Zürich. She also makes her US debut as Sieglinde Die Walküre at Santa Fe Opera and in concert, she performs Wagner’s Die Walküre at the Sydney Opera House and Wolfgang Rihm’s Das Gehege with the Berliner Philharmoniker, both under the baton of Simone Young.
