Ausrine Stundyte joins MWA for general management

We are thrilled to welcome Lithuanian soprano Ausrine Stundyte, one of the most compelling singing actresses of our time. Her performances as Elektra at Salzburg Festival, Emilia Marty in the first ever production of The Makropulos Case at Royal Ballet & Opera and Katerina Izmailova in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk at Opéra national de Paris have showcased her as an artist whose fearless stage presence, acute musical intelligence, and raw emotional exposure have redefined the boundaries of operatic performance.

Engagements this season include The Makropulos Affair at Royal Ballet & Opera, staged by Katie Mitchell and conducted by Jakub Hrusa and her returns at Wiener Staatsoper and Staatsoper Hamburg for one of her signature roles, Elektra which she later performs in concert at Dresden Philharmonie. Other engagements include Kundry Parsifal in Caracas and the world premiere of Reinvere’s Das Lied von den zwei Erden with the Bayerisches Rundfunkorchester and Matthias Pintscher.
